I was thinking about maybe a comic when Daryl wasn't born yet, and Merle was being abused, because in an episode where Merle rips Daryl's shirt and sees the scars, he knew what Daryl had gone through. I thought making him have a better backstory and emphasizing (I think that's how you spell it, sorry about that) his life before Daryl. Like your comic Virginia Slims and Daryl's mother. Btw I'm from the USA.

Yeap it could be awesome ! Merle was totally alone when all those things happened to him. He really grew surrounded by violence, drug and alcohol. He had no other chances but to grow this way and become how we know him :/
